Met Nathan this morning. We had a nice knowledgeable discussion. We are novices at dog owning and Nathan gave us a lot of very useful advice. His calm nature worked like a mystic aura and our new Cavapoo acted like butter wouldn’t melt. Information and advice on food, treats, habits, repetition and of course praise. We learnt a lot this morning and feel more confident in ourselves. It’s the owners that need to learn, not so much the dog. Money well spent. Thank you
There is a marked difference in her behaviour, she is responding really well to me when we are out and becoming a little less reactive. She is certainly calming much more quickly when people visit and is settling down in minutes now instead of pacing and showing anxiety. Thanks so much for your help Nathan, those 2 things alone have made a huge difference. I will update you soon, and hope to bring her on one of your walks. Thanks Again Linda
Thank you for getting us, and Hamish, on the road to puppy training success. We really enjoyed your classes & young Dean is turning into a wee dog whisperer Catch you at a dog walk in the near future.
Absolutely loved these classes. Thank you so much for all your help and advice. I’ll second the comment above regarding recommending you in the future to others. Hopefully see you soon with Bruce on one of the puppy walks.
It was good to meet you recently and get your advice.
Update on Boo’s training, no more wrestling Boo to get her harness on, she sits still eventually. She is doing really well walking on the lead, it is actually a pleasure to walk her.
Fern and I have just completed Nathan’s puppy beginner classes and we had a fantastic time! Nathan’s approach to training, ability to breakdown techniques into understandable steps, and personable humour made training fun, enlightening and rewarding.
This, coupled with Nathan’s weekly puppy walks, are helping Fern develop into a well mannered dog and helping me to understand how to teach her.
Anybody looking for support and training for the dogs in their life should certainly give Nathan’s training a go!
Love the way Nathan delivers tips and advice. He has helped me to feel much more confident in each area that i was worrying about. Cant wait for puppy classes to start.
We called on Nathan to help with our little bitch ‘Willow ‘ [ rescue ], he helped US :-). As normal it is us doing things wrong, Nathan put that right in his first visit and we are following his advice and made such progress that even Nathan was pleased with us and her on his follow up visit. Since then we are making progress every day and we are now happy and she is delighted with the alterations in her life. Nathan is so calm in his attitude and it rubbed off on us which in turn has ribbed off on her. Such a happy family now and we know if we are struggling at any time we can contact him, so reassuring. Thank you Nathan from us all.
Yes, another glowing review from me. I took the Dog First Aid course Nathan hosted, and it was BRILLIANT, better than the multiple ones I’ve been on for people. Anyone involved with dogs on a personal or business basis should take this. As one attendee said, she’d been on courses on this for people and lost interest fairly quickly. The instructor held everyone’s attention for the whole session and communicated all the information with clear delivery and a bit of humour. There was even a doggie version of resusci anne to practice with, complete with a pulse to find. So glad I went!
A few months ago we had a fantastic puppy head start consultation, so for more specific 121 puppy training Nathan was the natural choice! Today my training request was based around teaching me about how to train my 7-months old GSD puppy to walk on the lead without being distracted. My main concern was her tendency to try chasing cars. Nathan showed me what signs to look for and recognise, how to act and react as well as different exercises to practice with her. Nathan provided really good pointers, dog treat and toys to try, so lead training will be fun for our puppy! Again excellent explanations, simple, straight forward and very useful. Highly recommendable for any dog owner! If you have specific concerns, something you may wish to focus on with more in depth training or if you have general training or consultation requirements, try working with Nathan! I can only repeat what I said before: you will feel that you very much got value for money. Thank you Nathan!
Trust me! Nathan is FANTASTIC. If you want a well balanced/behaved dog Nathan is your man❤
To put this recommendation into some context. I rescued Billy when he was 18 months old and I was home Number 5. I had 3 previous trainers involved but it was Nathan who turned things round. I now have a simply wonderful loyal and well behaved (mostly) friend. Without Nathan I would have given up and sent him to the gallows and hated myself for it.
You’ve guessed I’m a Nathan fan!
I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the help and support you’ve given us. You really are a miracle worker. As you know, you came to visit us to help us with Belle, who had major dog issues and I had stopped being able to walk her, well since your visit we put your tips into practice, came along to your Saturday pack walks and she’s turned a massive corner, so much so that she’s now got loads of dog friends in our village and I can let her off to play with them!! She’s now got a reputation in our village though, not for being aggressive but for being the softest Rottie around (which I’m so proud of). I never thought this would ever happen so THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts and Belles.
Fantastic Puppy Head Start Consultation today – Nathan has a very calm and down to earth approach, fantastic with our puppy, he gave us several good pointers on training our puppy. Excellent information and very useful. Highly recommendable for any puppy owner regardless whether you are new to dogs or whether you like us have had dogs before, you will feel that you got value for money.
Dobby dog and I really enjoyed both our group session and pack walk with you, thank you so much. I feel like we both learned a great deal in a short time, and it’s given us a good start with the training we need to do. You really make the joy of rescuing a dog even better, and it’s wonderful to know your expertise is available if/when we need you. I’ve passed your name along to a couple of fellow dog owners I’ve met on local walks who are struggling with their dogs and didn’t know who to go to for help.
I’ve just come back from our first puppy walk and I can’t believe Nathan doesn’t charge for this!! It’s absolutely brilliant. A great way for puppies to interact with each other and he does little bits of training along the way. Honestly I can’t recommend it enough!! We (my dog and I) have had a great time. Thank you so much Nathan.
I decided to make the 2 hour journey to your pack walk yesterday!
I dropped my baby off with my parents on the way so I could concentrate! I wanted to tell you that it was such a fantastic help and Millie loved it!!! We didn’t join in with the exercises as she’s not ready to get too close to other dogs but she watched from the side and responded really really well to clicker and treats!
I was shocked how quickly she just fitted in to the pack without going mad at everyone. We’ve got a long way to go but I have decided to make the commitment to attend your walk every week because of the difference I saw within just one day. My reactive dog was more interested in the rabbit holes than barking or lunging at anything! I think she barked maybe 5 times in the whole 2 hours! I actually feel really motivated and positive again!
Hi Nathan,
Just to let you know that Bailey is getting on really well, he is going out for a few walks every day off the lead and is learning lots of new tricks 🙂
Thanks for all your help!
Jo
So glad we took Ellie to your puppy classes, sociable with all humans and practically all other dogs, thanks
Really pleased with the puppy session Coco (4 month old Cockerpoo) and I had with Nathan he was really helpful and informative .. feel like we are well on track for nurturing her to developing from an affectionate puppy into a fantastic dog. Thanks for all your advice and guidance.
Thank you Nathan for all your advice .. I found your suggestions really helpful about feeding, worming, off lead walking, health and training.. And the children and I really enjoyed the puppy pack waking yesterday.
Having owned lots of dogs before I didn’t think I needed specialist advice, but it was worth it and greatly appreciated.
Shadow loves his new toys and likes how his human interacts with him on a walk. .. yes I will come back when asked … thank you Nathan
I didn’t have any of the behaviour of avoidance that he showed when you were with us. And best of all when I put Lolie the collie away he didn’t run off he stayed by me whilst I collected all the toys and when I picked up the lead he wasn’t bothered obviously loads of praise was given. So I am really delighted.
Thanks again Debbie and Monty
Great service could not of asked for better results. Brilliant socialisation techniques, very happy to say Bella now enjoys off lead walks meeting other dogs! Ever grateful
Had a meeting with Nathan today with our dog Jackson. Made a lot of sense what he told us will be along for a pack walk invaluable information well done
We achieved what we thought was going to be the impossible today. All on my own I walked Layla on the school run this afternoon and I had more problems with the children than I did Layla lol. She coming on great. Thanks for your support Nathan.
Nathan has a massive understanding on dogs and the needs for each breed. Had a 1:1 training session today and he helped me have a better understanding of my Layla. And I’m looking forward to moving this training forward and succeeding the best with our dog.
Just thought I would give you an update and say thanks for your help. After a delay due to
Unforeseen circumstances we didn’t start until mid Sept. The harness was a great success
And we are now able to enjoy our walks, with Chino happily trotting along beside me. He is also enjoying his raw meat food. Once again, many thanks.
Florence was very anxious at the airport but calm during flight. She was really hyper for the first couple of days of the holiday. The first time she went on a boat lots of noise but the 2nd time loads better. Lots of new experiences for her BUT every day we stopped and had a snack or lunch at a cafe and by day four she was laying down. On the final day I put my coat on the floor and she curled up on the coat and went to sleep whilst we ate lunch – never thought that would happen!!.
Nathan thank you so much for all your help we have worked hard with your advise and help and vinny had a perfect holiday with no issues at all it was amazing. Thank you again X
The difference is amazing. I did lead walk last night and then did both walks today no car. No pulling no bad moods!! Even passing other dogs on lead no problem. Nathan Watson your a star thank you
For anyone not sure about these walks …. I can honestly say they are great for increasing a dogs confidence. I’ve found its helped Cassie both with dogs and ‘men
I would highly recommend Nathan Watson dog behaviour.
Sydney is doing great thank you, working excellent on new food and recall even with other distractions.
We cannot thank you enough Nathan! Even in these two days she is just a completely different dog in the garden. Thanks for helping us with the tools to rectify the behaviour that we seem to have created.
Thanks for a great day! We are already seeing the results and his morning walks have been full of training, ball dropping and a complete lack of pulling. We really appreciated the way you made the training plan fit with our lifestyle rather than it being straight out of a text book. We even used the clicker technique that evening to get him going to his bed on command after about 3 attempts! Thanks again.
Loved the puppy walk, Nathan is incredibly supportive and Pixel and I enjoyed every second! Can’t wait for the next one
Shilo is doing amazing, we even had him playing in the field with another dog last week, it was wonderful to see so I still can’t thank you enough! Thanks Nathan:) x
Thanks again with your help with Ozzy. He is like a different dog and much better behaved.
He sleeps a lot more as we are keeping up with all the training.
We have also been away and he was as good as gold for the dog sitter.
Thank you Nathan for your reassurance and guidance! Milo had a lovely afternoon (as did we!) and she responded brilliantly to your calm and assertive nature. We highly recommend your services to any dog owner!
Can’t thank you enough
Hi Nathan, just thought you would like to know, after joining your pack walk for 2 weeks, I took Echo to Foxton Locks. She walked past every dog without a grumble, unheard of for her. She even sat at a pub table with other dogs on tables next to her without problems. Thank you.
Trudie and Echo.
Nathan came to see our Siberian Husky today and I couldn’t recommend him more. We’ve had some real trouble with him on the lead and with reacting to other dogs and with me and my sister moving away to university this year it was really important to us that our mum could control him on a walk. Nathan offered us a lot of comfort in our fluffball’s behaviour and invaluable advice as well as his wonderful lead which is life changing! We took him out again when my sister got back from university and took him to the park at prime dog walking time and he was wonderful, we can’t thank him enough! X
Well chuffed with Archie, he was such a good boy today at agility, even the trainers commented on it, he had one or two moments which we dealt with but its early days yet, big big thank you from all of us
Hi Nathan,
Just to let you know that I have made lots of progress with Hooch – We had a great weekend away and followed the things you showed me, and I really do feel a lot more in control. Thank you for the session as it really has made a difference to me and for Hooch.
Best regards
Sally
What an AMAZING training session with Nathan Watson Dog Behaviour!!!! aaahhh i am SOOOOooooo happy!!! Such an incredible difference in our little dog Izzy!! Five star rating!!! GEESH! Amazing he had her learning tricks and sorting issues in behaviour all in the space of one session pretty much straight away!! Things iv never been able to sort! he makes it so simple. its CRAZY!! such an incredible person in experience with dogs and enabling you to correct dog behaviour instantaneously!! He is the true dog whisperer!! Thank you Nathan Watsonfor turning our nightmare into an amazingly channeled stimulating experience for Izzy!!! You the best!:) – Charlotte
Thank you for a really helpful, thorough and informative session with my excitable, barky lab. He is so much more quiet and calm since his rehab! We highly recommend Nathan. Not only is he an expert and genuine about helping dogs and their owners, he’s a really nice person to work with. Life is easier and far more fun for our dog and for us since.
Nathan came to me to help with one of my dogs that is reactive on lead. He was personable & friendly and we had several productive walks in the session giving me tips how to limit the problem. Great!
We took Bentley our bulldog puppy for his first ‘puppy walk’ on Saturday and he loved it. We really struggle getting him to leave the house and walk but thanks to the advice given we are gradually getting there and have seen a massive improvement since Saturday!
Nathan is a brilliant trainer. His understanding and kindness to dogs are incredible.
Thankyou so much Northampton dog trainer Nathan Watson for all the hard work you put in helping the dogs we rehome, as well as the support you give to the kennel dogs & all the fundraising you do. You are amazing
Thankyou.
Tally so far since Friday: two face to face sniffs with calm collies, an incident-free group walk with four other dogs and a commendable show of restraint when harassed by two barking dogs in the park who charged right up to her! Thanks Nathan!
Thanks again for the session, it was very useful and I will definitely recommend you to others!
Been to puppy class in Northampton! It was awesome and hands down best advice I’ve been given when it comes to the boys! Keep practicing and hoping the boys will become well behaved chugs! This was free in Abington park, but took donations for animals in need. I was so impressed, the organiser Nathan Watson never made me feel stupid and gave me helpful tips! Especially as Dave was too excited to do anything, so he showed me tips to calm him down. Already looking forward to next week!
I just wanted you to know we had a good first day walking solo! They’ve had an extra walk than normal and we’ve covered about 8km. I wasn’t dreading us seeing other dog walkers. I’m feeling positive about it and I already feel I could come to a pack walk with them on my own pretty soon! It’s good to feel able to control them so much better.
Had two good walks with my boys today. Walk 1 was around the same park as yesterday – as we walked in we met two separate dogs off leads leaving the park. No reaction at all – the second one came up to say hello – all went well! Didn’t see any other dogs over the park (never thought that would disappoint me!). Walk 2 was walking the streets – out of the village to the Queen Eleanor roundabout then along Newport Pagnell road back to the village.. 45 mins with dogs passing us on the opposite side of the road. Bear ignored most of them – just one woof at one of them! A jogger and dog running towards us on the same path got a reaction but it was minor and easy to manage. The funniest thing was him barking at two stone garden ornaments…
Thanks again. See you soon
Thank you so much nathan! We have kept up with everything you have said to do and noticed a difference already! I braved taking them out with the buggy today and went very well indie only barked once for the ball after that realised I wouldn’t throw it if she was barking! x
Nathan, I cannot thank you enough for helping us with Belle. After our pack walk on Saturday I took her to introduce her to my uncles dog for the very first time. Before our 1-1 session with you in July, I would never have done this in a million years, and if we were forced to for some reason, I would have got my husband to hold her and definitely wouldn’t have held her myself for the walk. I was so happy with her that I was beaming with pride and had to upload the video for you to see. I actually got a little tear in my eye. I’m so proud of her and honestly cannot thank you enough! Thank you!!
There has been a huge change in Coco in a week, partly because of the lead which has meant my shoulders and arms are not being damaged by pulling! Off the lead she doesn’t stray far from me, and is much calmer generally. Training is going well and she is loving the extra work.
Thank you for coming and helping us with Ziggy, he has been so much better with the possessive aggression since you’ve shown us how to handle the situation. Also walking him feels like I have more control over him too.
Thank you so much for your help.
I had never even heard of pack walks until a colleague mentioned it. We had a great time, looking forward to the next one

Just coming up to the end of week 1 since Nathan came to spend the day with Nellie, my 7 year old nervous and hyper-excitable Patterdale terrier. The feeding and sleeping regimes have been implemented and we are noticing subtle changes in her, although there’s a long way to go – walks are still a source of hysterical excitement and fear and the decibel level hasn’t abated yet!! Time will tell, but I wanted to say thanks so much for travelling all the way down to see us Nathan – after many attempts to get help with her over the years, this was the first time the guidance I was given made rational sense, and could be put into practice straight away – and the first time that a trainer actually dedicated the entire session to watching her in action when out on walks, which no-one has ever done before. It was a genuine pleasure to work with you (even though you made me walk 7 miles). And on the basis that you scarcely flinched when she came charging at you spitting and snarling – twice – you also have balls of steel.
thank you for a lovely day and all your help. looking forward to our new calmer walks with daisey. see you soon on the group walks.
A brilliant session yesterday and can’t wait to practice these new skills with him. Thanks for all the great advice and see you all soon for walkies
★★★★★ Had a great puppy pack walk last Saturday, excellent & enjoyable way to socialise & train your puppy, Barney really enjoyed making lots of new friends
Thank you so much for today just been out for a 40 min walk and was so much easier!
Enjoyed the puppy pack walk & socialisation class today, Barney made lots of new friends, looking forward to next week!! Thank you Nathan
We first met Nathan 18 months ago when we had a one-to-one session with our 2 young poodles who were very excitable on the lead and extremely difficult to manage. Since that first session, we have been attending the weekly pack walks, and during one of the exercises today I realised just how far they had come, as they sat quietly and attentively whilst all the other dogs weaved past us. Nathan really is a miracle worker, he has a wonderful way with all the dogs, they seem to respond immediately to him, and we are eternally grateful for all his help.
Thanks Nathan, the session was brilliant and we have kept practicing all day and the results are phenomenal already!! Thanks again
Just to say Nathan that Milly is a changed dog, REALLY! She did none of her behaviours that evening and hasn’t since either which is a miracle…and when our mechanic came after you went(the one shed leapt all over)i told him what to do and miraculously she went into her crate and laid down, then he fussed her.I am telling everyone about you!see you soon on the walk… Jackie & Dave
Thank you for all your help and advice yesterday, Lucy really enjoyed herself. Without a doubt the most rewarding thing we’ve ever done!!
Hi Lewie’s Dad and Mum are very happy, walks are more of a pleasure so thank you for your help.
Hi Nathan , quick update on Ruby , she’s doing really well , today being our best walk for saying we were near home, did 4 miles of road and narrow tracks, no barking at all, bit of growling at off lead dogs, she got barked at loads with nothing back from her, got to a brook with an off lead Westie and Ruby did a bit of pulling and squeaking towards it (no barking) her tail was swinging from side to side and she kept bowing down on her front legs, she then just lay down in the water ignoring it. She also passed 4 off lead dogs with no barking and did nothing when a couple of them came up to her face, we didn’t stop though, just kept walking. They go out every morning now for 30 mins and are now fully on raw food which they love, so success so far, really enjoying her now :), thank you so much again. We will make a pack walk soon hopefully, we’re so busy at the moment, see you soon Sue x
Thank you for a memorable, well organised walk with all the dogs behaving so beautifully, a privilege to be there Sue & Bailey
Thanks for yesterday it has already made a difference, daughter arrived today with twins and bull mastiff, no reaction all playing together, pippa been off lead walking is much improved so again thanks.
Hi Nathan , just thought I’d share this photo of Ruby and Ted on our walk on Sunday , this is somewhere I would never have gone to before you came and helped us ! , there were dogs everywhere on and off lead , Ruby coped really well , towards the end hardly reacting at all ! , thank you for giving us the confidence we needed 🙂
(taken from Facebook)
Just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for the pack walk on Saturday – we really enjoyed it and Benji impressed us by being very well behaved.
We really enjoy the puppy pack walk. The dogs love it too, Nathan always has time to stop and talk about things that may be of concern.
A big thanks to Nathan our puppies have learnt loads since going to the puppy class.
We took Ellie to her first puppy walk session this Saturday. Brilliant group and will be returning next week. Very useful help and advice from Nathan and other group members.
Thank you for yesterday. We both really enjoyed it and learnt a lot even though we were both knackered by the end lol. I feel like my confidence has grown already so I really am grateful for that. I will be seeing you again soon on the walks.
Everything you shown us she has picked up on things so quickly its like she transformed she is not a 100% but can already see a difference and if we keep it up she should be very good i cant thank you enough mate 😀 you have made me so happy.
Hi Nathan just thought I would let you I am just back from Fonzie and Fernandos walk this evening and I think you must be a miracle worker. We did the 20 min walk on the leads perfect then 20 mins free run on the field with perfect recall finished off with 20 mins walk on lead back. We passed 6 dogs on the way back and Fonzie didn’t even make a sound not even a little grumble. We got back to the house and they both just had a big drink and now they are lying together fast asleep. Don’t know how to thank you will keep in touch going to start their new diet tomorrow.
I am Billy’s owner and the transformation in a few hours with Nathan was inspirational, effective and kind. Billy is my 5th lab and I was his 5th home at 18 months. He is adapting to his new life very well (arrived 29.3.13) and had a few challenging behaviours which were proving hard to sort. I think we are well on the way to making my troubled boy the perfect sweetheart I always knew he was. And I learnt so much – a special and worthwhile experience. THANK YOU!
Brilliant training session with Nathan Watson. Well on our way to having a pug that’s doesn’t shout at the TV, or chasing cars on a walk. Great advice and tips. Highly recommend. Thanks Nathan
Jasper loved our first puppy pack walk … some great tips, great opportunities to socialise and all without cost … tells me that Nathan does it because he loves it and that is commendable, especially in this day and age. Will definitely be returning over the next few weeks. Thank you so much! 🙂
Was our first time on this pack walk with our two dogs Hugo & Zepher. Thank you for a really enjoyable & fun walk, they were both flaked out in the car on the way home – look forward to the next one. sarah & darren.
Advice given has worked a treat! Thank you Nathan, my husky now loves my lab again and is calm and collected 🙂 pack walk was good! I’m shattered!
After today’s training session the evening walk was amazing. I m so proud of Sonny. He did really well. Thank you. See you on Saturdays.
Walking is fun again thank u Nathan x
Just had to share the news Max now jumps in the car all by himself. We are so pleased with him.
On Monday I started putting him in and out again every hour by 3pm he just jumped in, I have continued and he is still jumping in, he does not look overly happy about doing it but it’s a huge step.
Think I may be a bit crazy cos I really do look forward to waking up pretty early every Saturday morning to take Sam on his 1 hour 45mins pack walk then 1hour later I take Charlie for his 1hour puppy pack walk. I no my dogs love me for it though and I wouldn’t miss it for the world…..Nathan DogTrainer Watson is a really good dog trainer and Im so thankful for what he does for us.
Molly’s new food is going down a treat!! She is definitely much calmer and more controllable. Thank you so much for your help, it has been wonderful! We feel much more confident now. Although I’m sure we will be in touch again and we will definitely bring Molly over for the walking sessions.
Only had Lexi for a few weeks, a rescue doggie from RSPCA , she needs socialising and general walking training. She really enjoyed today’s walk and so did I.
Thanks Nathan for your pack walks.. i think i will be arranging my work so that i can join the pack walks more often. Gracie seems to behave better now and i will try to bring them both next time and see how it goes.

Just to wish you & yours a very merry Christmas and to say thank you again for the training session with Joe.
It’s amazing how much difference the tips you gave me on walking him have helped and I feel much more confident taking him anywhere. I definitely count the session with you as one of the best investments I’ve made in my relationship with him – wish I’d done it sooner!
Harry is a superb companion and his mum is really happy to have him back. Thank you Nathan you worked your magic again. Have a Merry Xmas and a great New Year!
Thank you so much Nathan for 1-1 with Bailey & Dilly this morning. Knew we would gain but not so dramatically & so quickly. It was great to see you take them both on and show me how it,s done Dilly & Bailey we,re so at ease with you. I,m so impressed especially that we went on to an evening walk & came by a few dogs that Bailey started to have a grumble at, Dilly didn’t even bother ha ha, but we walked on by, AWESOME.. I,m so elated, on top of the world.. What a result.. Feel so in control & am really smiling again, on the inside & out, Bailey n Dilly too It would be the making of every dog & handler to have a walk with you Nathan. Bless you. Sue, Dilly n Bailey
Absolute star! The neighbours are praising the ground you walk on Nathan. My family are able to enjoy fun times now along with relaxed times also.
Just to say a huge thank you for last Sunday, my family are so much more relaxed and after a few more walks they have calmed down to the point of not barking at the door or when seeing another human/animal. Now just to work on the little 4 year old human lol!
So he’s been on three walks since you left all fine many thanks Nathan. Just got to stop my boy from winding him up then I’ll be a happy girl. Thank you
we had our first “pack walk” last Saturday as our dog just bolts when she sees other dogs (to go play) so we thought if we went on a pack walk she would get used to dogs and not get so excited. it was so much fun and maggy was a dream. it was lovely to see so many different people and dogs see you this Saturday.
Thanks Nathan for today. great session. I learnt lots. Kay and George.
Our dog Tilly really behaved and learnt loads. She is now a pleasure to walk and not pulling anymore thanks to a 2 hour lesson with Nathan.
Nathan came to see my puppy Dougie today, Just one hour and I have noticed lots of changes already, partly because Nathan helped me understand some of his behaviour. Plus this meant I could give my children some better tactics. For example, practising walking him on his lead in the house ready for when he can go out for walks. They loved it and i could see their confidence grow. Dougie ate better tonight too after diet recommendations from Nathan. Need I go on…
Hi Nathan, just had to share ! Deeze got an star this morning for his behavior, firstly he walked well to the racecourse he did a little recall work and came back each time. I kept Shanti on the lead whilst he was off and visa verso which may have helped them both to pay attention to me when I called them. I decided to walk down to our vets by Abington park and book a booster appointment whilst we were out, this may seem un news worthy to some but if you’d ever witnessed Deeze in the waiting room before you would understand my joy at today’s behavior. (I was once asked jokingly by my vet if next time Deeze could wait in the park he was sooooo noisy) Today he sat at reception and only whined and wagged his tail when another dog came in. We booked the appointment walked further in I told him to sit and then gave him a treat,we walked round to the exit area and off we went no drama’s at all !!!!! Then we did a bit of doggy shopping in Collingwood road pet shop and again best behavior, passed 2 dogs with only a whine. Needless to say I treated them to some lovely liver treats in the pet shop. Thank you so much for all you have taught us and continue to teach us at the pack walks, today’s two hour adventure was a delight for myself and I believe the dogs had a pretty good time too !! Lou Diesal and Shanti x P.S. I keep you posted on his behavior when he attends the appointment, fingers or paws crossed !
Thanks for a great walk again this morning Nathan, Louis really does get so much out of it! He’s now snuggled up fast asleep..
Thank you Nathan for a great afternoon lots learned today looking forward to moving forward with Linton and working on all that we did today and being consistent consistent consistent .
nathan. Just wanted to say how much i enjoyed the pack walk on saterday morning… What a nice experience for me and Jazz (the grey staffordshire bull terrier) looking forward to joining you again.
Just to let you know I have been sticking to the rules and boundaries and Poppy is definitely calmer already. She never attempts to get on the sofa or go upstairs now. Recall with the sheep and ramblers around is still hit and miss but am persevering and it’s early days. Harvey is doing great on recall to voice command and whistle and still not an accident inside. He even cried at the door today…….not bad for 8 weeks!
Looking forward to bringing Poppy on Saturday to pack walk.
looking forward to the pack walk on saturday , great people great weather, great walk what better way to start the week end
Isla, 2-year-old rescue with severe and deeply ingrained fear aggression, is joining in group activities – almost unbelievable!!! Your pack walk is fantastic, can’t wait for next Saturday. Thank you so much Nathan.
Hiya, just wanted to share with you max today, Leo the rabbit is in the chicken run and you know how he reacted when you were here …. can’t thank you enough for the advice you gave us
Well what can I say, thanks so much for your all your help yesterday, when you left we went a got to beds and cushions for Charlie and Chester and they spent their first night downstairs we had a lot of barking and crying but we didn’t give in and they were fine, we have not had any time outs for Charlie today which is such an achievement for him, lets hope it all carries on, thanks again see you Saturday at the pack walk.
Loved yesterday’s Pack Walk and, 3 weeks on from our 1-2-1, Isla is really showing an improvement in controlling her reactive behaviour, thanks to your advice and the techniques you taught us. I believe she is at last learning that being with other dogs can actually be enjoyable! Thanks, Nathan. Averil
Really nice puppy walk today Evie enjoyed it
Following your advice on food yesterday I came home and checked what I was feeding Nugget! I wrongly assumed that a branded puppy food would be ok but it would appear that I may as well have just fed her sugar cubes for the last 4 months! Of out to get some decent stuff today and start weaning her off the hyper stuff! Thanks. Nuggets Mum!
Hi Nathan, We learned so much today in our 1-2-1 session on recall. We couldn’t believe how much you helped us achieve with Mariko, thanks to your sound advice and techniques. And it was great fun. Looking forward to the next pack walk, which has already dramatically helped Mariko to socialise with other dogs. Thanks again, Bernie, Camilla, and Mariko the dalmatian
Thank you Nathan for your visit today. We have already started to implement the techniques and suggestions you gave us. For starters she has got a new comfy corner and she is also responding so well to her new lead. And hopefully we will be able to bring Adrian up the pack order too. Onwards and upwards from here.
We have the walks sorted now! He is like a different dog! We can also get out the door first. Working on the jumping up…. Claire
Thank you for your time and advice today for Bella. We both got a lot out of it and will be trying all the very simple techniques discussed today to ensure that Bella becomes a calm and social animal. We look forward to coming along to the pack walks once Bella is old enough and fully vaccinated. Clare & Ross
Everything is going well, just still working extra hard on the feeding. We are on walkies right now! Jade
I know it’s only day 4 but thought you’d like to know Ruby’s doing brilliant. The visitors we’ve had can’t believe the difference. Thanks for your fab assistance & we promise to keep up the good work! Theresa
Thank you so much for your time this morning. Walking our dog Bella is a pleasure but now will be even better thanks to the tips you gave us. I also feel more confident playing tug games with her as I know how to control and stop her when I am ready, not when she is! Bella had an exciting morning and is now fast asleep. Once again, thank you. Ann & Jason
Diesel and Harry have stopped barking and both boys are very happy together. I can’t thank you enough for helping us solve our problem, we’re so grateful. Louise
Rossi and I were very happy to meet you and found your advice extremely helpful, he is improving every day and i found your help and advice invaluble. We’re really hoping to get to the pack walk. Clare
We had previously searched the internet on tips on how to get our puppy to stop biting and to obey commands which were useful but we have found the tips Nathan has given us far more effective as he was addressing techniques with direct response to our puppy’s behaviour. Thank you very much Nathan, we appreciate your help so very much! Stacey & Amy
Thank you for helping out my Grandma Margaret with training her rescue dog. Sadie has had no training and was knocking over my grandma and bossing her around, with your help we have noticed a change in her behaviour for the better and she is much better behaved! She is a lovely dog and you have certainly helped to enhance her lovely personality! Becky
Nathan has been very patient with me and my dogs and is a joy to work with. I have had a dog trainer before, but did not like their demeaner with me or the dogs. We hope to continue training with Nathan in the future. Lisa
Reggie is getting on well and the whole family have accepted him wholeheartedly and are enjoying having him. The house training soon worked out thank goodness! Your advice re recall was v helpful…we bought a whistle and he does respond to it….Yippee. He also responds to sit, down and toilet. Angela
I really enjoyed the training session and, in particular, I was amazed at how well Stella responded. You obviously know your stuff. Thank you for your time yesterday. Wendy
Ozzy came back each time I called him! There was once he went a bit far but I kept calm and he came back. Just hope he continues like this! Thank you so much for your help.
Followed a week later by….. Every time I call him he comes back! He went to pester a fisherman and I didn’t expect him to come back as he loves to pester them but I blew the whistle and he returned. I can’t believe how easy it can be. My friends have commented that he’s like a different dog. Karen
We are really impressed with how Max is doing since your visit. He sleeps downstairs without a problem. His recall is so much better and he no longer jumps up at visitors or pesters them for attention. The lead walking has also improved a lot, we can both walk him to heal with a loose lead that just hangs between us. Thank you so much Richard, Amy and Max
The change of food has stopped the “accidents” during the night which is a great step forward for her and me!
Overall there has been a noticeable improvement in her general behaviour and level of activity: still plenty of energy and keen for her walks but not so manic. She is also getting better at meeting other dogs and people and only reacts if other dogs get over powering (a little bit of air biting and snapping that quickly subsides when they give her a bit of space). She has learned to accept people entering the house and her reaction to the door bell is now how we want it to be. She barks and runs to the door but will back off into the other room when told and leaves the opening of the door to me or Sandra. She is still a little bit agitated when she meets whoever it is that has entered but she doesn’t try to bite and quickly loses interest in them.
We will continue with the “I’m in charge” lessons and also the exercises to reduce her pulling but, in summary, quite a significant improvement since your visit. We will continue to build on this so that she becomes the happy little dog that we all (including her I’m sure) would like to see.
We will keep you up-to-date with our progress and we hope that you all have a happy Christmas.
Regards
Sandra, Clive and Molly
Hi Nathan, thanks for your time on Sunday – we are well underway with your advice for Flo/us and although it’s very early days things seem to be improving. Shaz has taken the week off so that we can practice leaving her for short periods as you suggested. Even the manic greetings seem to be calmer already. Fingers crossed and thanks again. Will keep you posted! Nicola
Louis loves Saturday mornings and is now curled up fast asleep beside me! Thanks for the advice this morning. Debbie
A GREAT achievement for Dilly and me walking with so many dogs, I,m so proud and we are so much more bonded. Thank you so much. Sue
Followed your advice – Barney walked much better yesterday. He had a long walk this morning and went out the door without any fuss. Barney is doing so well, he now sits before going out on his walk without us having to tell him again and only has the occasional pull on the lead – thank you so much for your advice. We have seen a massive improvement in the two weeks we’ve had him. We should make the pack walk next week. Sue
Tyler the yellow lab had a great first pack walk and will definitely come again. As a dog that can get anxious on the lead (especially towards dark coloured dogs) this gave him a great opportunity to socialise with a mix of breeds and colours in a way that is more natural than training classes, but still structured and safe. He’s been flaked out on his back since he got home! Thanks Nathan. Debbie
Thanks so much Nathan, we are really happy with what we’ve all learnt today, the dogs are currently all sitting on the floor or in their beds. We took summer and Alfie out after u left, and used the methods you showed us and the difference was unbelievable. Laura
Thank you Nathan for your help, we took mischa and sapphire after you left they were very good ,we then took snowbear and Ella again and Ella pushed it but I leaded them both up on my own. no noise and they both waited at gate first time, also really good and now asleep .so proud of them, and thank you from us both and furry kids xxx Mel
Nathan you are a genius! I got up made a load of noise, not a single bark from the kitchen! Came downstairs opened the door and again not a sound, just three well behaved dogs sitting at the gate in silence!!! Great work mate. Adam
I keep you posted on his behavior when he attends the appointment, fingers or paws crossed
Hello Nathan, I’ve read nearly every recommended dog training book and watched nearly every dog training programme on TV, including Turid Rugaas, Cesar Millan, Victoria Stillwell, Jan Fennel, John Bradshaw, Carol Price, etc. However, nothing has helped Pip so significantly as taking him on your pack walk yesterday. I’m truly amazed that Pip neither growled nor snapped at any of the other dogs on this pack walk – and the great news is that the video and photos on your Facebook page attest to the fact that Pip was unprecedentedly well behaved on this pack walk.
Hi Nathan,Training with Rosie is going well. She responds well with the ball when I have control over it and I am careful to keep the ball away from her when it isn’t ‘play time’. She listens well and simple recall is getting better! Even when barking at the neighbours now she listens to me. Simple things make a big difference.
Hi Nathan, Just wanted to let you know that I took Rosie out this morning and what a dream . The training lead is so stress-free knowing that I can have a pleasant walk with her and be comfortable that she won’t just bolt off. She is getting used to the distance and is starting to keep an eye out where I am so she doesn’t go too far. If she pulls too far she then turns and comes back to me. A few more weeks like this and I’ll try her totally off the lead. Her recall is much better and she knows I am in control when I have a ball. I have also changed her food to 19% whilst she isn’t working, hopefully that will help too! Thanks for all the advice you gave me when you were here, you gave me confidence and pointed me in the right direction. Jess & Rosie
Hi Nathan, just thought i’d update you on our puppies progress. George’s toilet training has really come on since your advice to regulate his meals. We get the odd accident but this is quite rare now which is a relief. Liz
Baxter is doing well thank you. He does still jump on the sofa but we have been removing him using the technique you suggested, sometimes when he goes to jump up we say no and he wonders off so it seems as he is doing it to try and test us! He has statrted to sit when leaving the house on a walk and is pulling a lot less, there is still room for improvement buy we have definately noticed a change. Natalie (Owner of 6 month Baxter the Beagle)
